I've inherited a site that uses ASP/Access, however the new ISP only supports ASP/mySQL.

How big of a job am I looking at? I notice that he used mostly ADO programming to update tables etc. Will these work with mySQL?

It would be nice if it were merely a case of changing the DSN and maybe a few syntax errors. What's the chance of that.

thanks in advance

MySQL really isn't hard at all, I would even go out on a limb and say its easier, and more flexable then Access... I know its much more stable, and won't corrupt if to many people are using it. One thing that makes it much more simple is using a front end, I prefer MySQL front, but for some reason that project is discontinued, but if you need a copy of it let me know.. I have a tutorial on my website that could help you through setting up MySQL, and transfering everythong from Access to MySQL.

- Hope that helps www.vzio.com
