Just installed an MICS with T1/PRI. Added an ASM (Analog Station Module) for the fax machines (four in this office). Assigned target lines to the appropriate station. In "lines" programming, I assigned the station as "prime set" (also tried with no prime set) and indicated "ring busy" (vs. "ring to prime").

When calling the number (butt-set off hook), instead of ringing busy, I hear ringing. Carrier insists there is no hunt/roll-over assigned.

What am I missing?

Thanks in advance,

on a T1/PRI hunting is 'included' - the same number cane be dialed 23/ 24 times

here are somethings to try
change number of intercoms to 1
make sure no cfna/ cfbsy is set
in target line: if busy = busy tone

When I set up ASM extensions for faxes I make sure I do the following:
Assign 1 I/C (this is VERY important)
Capabilities is default
Prime Set & Control Set = extension
Target line is set to R only on the extension
Target line is set to busy not prime on a busy condition
Call Fwd No Answer & Busy s/b empty, unless using a fax pool

Compare the above to what you have programmed, especially the one intercom. If you have two intercoms, the next call will ring instead of getting the busy signal.

Hope this is helpful. :)

I was aware of the 1 intercom rule and also tried with "0" intercom. I'll double-check settings as compared to your list...
