Asks for DB password twice

My client tells me his copy of a database secured with the database password asks for the password when he opens it, and then it asks for it again when he quits the app.

I can't get my copy to do that in Win95. He's using XP. Can anyone help?

It sounds like he has it set to compact and repair on exit. That will cause this some times.

Thanks for your reply. I have my system set to compact/repair upon exit and it doesn't ask for the password the second time. I'll find out if my client does.

If this doesn't solve it, any other ideas?

Sadly no. I have noted also that some times, and not on all machines, the compact on exit causes this. I am hoping this is what it is.
