Asking for password when captureing printer

Hi,
We have one dos program we still use. When I try to map a printer share to lpt1 with the followig command it asks for a username and password and nothing will work.

net use lpt1 \\servername\printer /persistent:yes

Then it says:
Enter the username for servername:
Enter the password for servername:

Any ideas on why it's doing this.

I was able to map it to lpt2 but I'm just curious why it's doing that with lpt1.

You have Windows XP with a non-admin account? This is something MS did by design (yeah, dumb)

You can however map to LPT2 with no problems. Is this an available option for you?
