Ask SDK for Folder/File permission

my company always ask me add, modify, view and generate a report from folder/file permission. because of my careless, i always make mistake for the permission.
I would like to ask the SDK to add, modify, view the folder/file permission.

It is best to study this subject in a lab (before playing with the real thing) - you can ask an experienced administrator to help you (a 1 hour lecture+hands on could be effective for you).
Or take a book, or read a bit on the Internet.

What do you mean by SDK?
