Hello all,
I have a ascom ip6010 gateway with some ascom i62 messenger phones attached to it via wifi. We also have a asterisk box setup for just conferencing between these devices. I would like to know if it is possible to have these devices use the asterisk box as a voicemail server somehow. I would need to keep the ascom ip6010 gateway as well. I am not really sure where to start with this, as the ascom system seems to have limited documentation on it at this time.

If it were me, I would switch it around and have the asterisk box in front. All calls would come in through Asterisk. In this way, when asterisk routes an incoming call to an extension, which happens to be connected to Ascom gateway, if no answer the call is sent to Asterisk voicemail. Asterisk would become your main box controling incoming/outgoing calls.

No message waiting light, but you could set up voicemail to email easily enough for each extension.

Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right, here I am, stuck in the middle with you.
