Am I capable of importing ascii files into Crystal Reports?

You don't really "import". Crystal has to be able to read the file as a table. You can do this (but it is a pain) if you set up an ODBC connection to this file, and define each column in the file. Or, you can import the file into MS Access and read the MS Access table. Ken Hamady
