I have a text file with text in courier font.
It is some ascii art.
<font face="courier" size="2"><pre>

_____,=\
f(\_/\U/ ^@
?/ N
^ ^
</pre></font>

I need to convert the textual content into vector
format, so that I can scale it arbitrarily.
Is that possible? Can I save it as an svg file?

I am an absolute newbie with regards to adobe products.
Before I buy, adobe illustrator,
I would like to know whether it has the,
necessary feature that want.

thanks
in advance

Illustrator can output SVG but so can other freeware apps like Sodipodi and Inkscape.
