Hello all,

I have an ASBCE Currently Running 8.1.2.0-31-19809

I was looking to upgrade it to 10.1

I am following the document at this point:

1. Log in to Avaya SBCE CLI as a super user.
2. Run the following command to create a temporary directory:
mkdir /usr/local/ipcs/urutmp
3. Run the following command to change the already created temporary directory:
cd /usr/local/ipcs/urutmp
4. Download the sbce-<version>_uberutility-<md5sum>.tar.gz Release 8.0.x
utility package file from the PLDS website at 5. Move the utility package tar file to Avaya SBCE at /usr/local/ipcs/urutmp

When I try and access folder /usr/local/ipcs via WinSCP to load the Uber utility package, I get the error:

Thoughts? I am logging in with ipcs.

elevate yourself to root on CLI to be able to move it. It does say this in the guides.

Log in to Avaya SBCE CLI as a super user.

Doh, was very tired yesterday and clearly didn't look at it properly!! lol

Just follow the instructions in the SBC docs.

WinSCP the file as Administrator to /home/Administrator. Then use Putty to login as ipcs, and elevate as root to do everything else.

Wow, I really am not paying enough attention on this post.

TBH, I just do these things on auto pilot now. Did so many upgrades becuase of Log4J I don't even think abaout it any more. And, We've been messing with a big SE where you do use /home/Administrator.

Thats my excuse and I'm sticking to it! Lol!!

derfloh: Appreciate it. I cannot seem to find the command to move the file in the document.

Figured it out, for anyone else curious:

cd /home/ipcs
ls
sbce-10.1.0.0-32-21432_uberutility-3623a11aed65ad2d3287635a54037d8f.tar.gz
mv sbce-10.1.0.0-32-21432_uberutility-3623a11aed65ad2d3287635a54037d8f.tar.gz /usr/local/ipcs/urutmp
cd /
cd /usr/local/ipcs/urutmp
ls
sbce-10.1.0.0-32-21432_uberutility-3623a11aed65ad2d3287635a54037d8f.tar.gz

I am currently running 8.1.2.0-31-19809 on a Portwell CAD-0230, and I believe I can go straight to R10.1

I am however, not seeing the file for upgrade on Avaya Downloads, nor a document to follow.

All of the files I see are labeled "Fresh Install", aside from: Is the the one I want?

The document does not really outline doing the upgrade.

Thank you.
