I'm having trouble upgrading from ASA 4.0.12 to 5.0.11.
I can complete the upgrade, but my existing configuration file (persist.dat) becomes corrupt. I've tried replacing it with a saved copy and re-doing the upgrade, but nothing helps. I even tried completing the ASA/VAM 5 Service Pack 2 install and nothing seems to work.
Everything works on ASA 4.0.12 (even when I go backward after the failed upgrade).
The documentation (if you can call it that) is fraut with wrong support information so I can't get anyone from Avaya to respond if this is a known problem or not.
Does anyone have an idea how to get around this without my having to re-enter all the sites or scheduled tasks?
