Good Morning,

I am trying to pull a PBX report for 'li usage hunt-group #' However, I have over 200 hunt groups to run through.

I was wondering if there was a command string that asa would accept to run a report that would display all the ext's in a 'list usage Hunt Groups' report..

Something like the 'display station # to ###' command that you can export the screen capture into a .txt file. But for the list usage hunt-group command.

Any Ideas?

Couldn't you just do a "export data" and "hunt group" and "name/number" and "member extensions" to get a single line of output with the hunt name/number+all members?

A couple different ways to do it. Do an export of the hunt group to get all of the valid hunt group numbers. Put those numbers in a column in excel. Add 2 more columns to the spread sheet. In one...put:

list usage hunt <--- and put a space after the t in hunt

In another....put a semi colon. Use the concatenate function in excel to add those columns text together into a new column. You'll end up with something looking like:

list usage hunt 1;
list usage hunt 2;
list usage hunt 3;......

Copy that column and paste into notepad using a large screen and very small font. Put your cursor after the 1st semi-colon and hit "Delete" then "down cursor", "Delete" then "down cursor", "Delete" then "down cursor", until you reach the bottom of the page. Now you'll have something that looks like:

list usage hunt 1;list usage hunt 2;
list usage hunt 3;list usage hunt 4;

Repeat that last procedure until all of your data is in 1 line. Perhaps break this into 4 groups of 50 to make it more manageable. You'll eventually end up with this:

list usage hunt 1;list usage hunt 2;list usage hunt 3;list usage hunt 4

After that, use the REPORTS function in ASA. paste that whole mess into the command/report field and run it. Couple notes:

1. ASA will only accept so many characters in that report field so you may need to do this in groups of 50 or so.
2. If a hunt group (say hunt group 20) has no usage, the report will bomb at that point. Open up your exported text, and see what your last usage collected was (in this case hunt 19), remove the offending hunt group from your report and rerun.

It may seem cumbersome but once you get the hang of it, you can burn through it pretty quick. I could build this for 200 random hunt groups in about 5 minutes. It would take a lot longer to manually run 200 individual reports.

Thank you both very much! I see now there's some "creative" work to be done. But it can be done..

I'll try these both and see how I do.

Thanks again!!
