ASA not compatible with WYSE50?

thread923-961983 and a couple of other archived threads mention this issue. It seems wierd to me that ASA doesn't allow that option. Someone mentioned that they use VT100. Doesn't work for me. Yes, I have Procomm, but, would like to use ASA for all of my systems, including voice mail.

You can change the Octel to VT 100 and it will work. Also the new ASA does have wyse 50 in it i think

My version of ASA is 3.1.13.

Per the Avaya download center, there is a 2.0 update, but, the download doesn't appear to be downloadable.

We manage a large number of Octels, and it isn't reasonable to change the emulation when Procomm works. I'm just a bit of a bulldog, and, would like to get it to work with ASA.

I am using ASA version 1.12.02.03. I have a serial connection to my Octel 250. The Octel asynch port is set to #3, DEC VT102/220. ASA is set to use VT100, with port settings 8/N/1 and no flow control. Works perfectly.

This should work for any 250's you're managing, although you'll need a terminal server attached to one of the Asynch ports on the 250 - then you should be able to hit it over the network.

That's exactly what I wanted to do, but I couldn't get it approved via the person who manages our VM systems. So, we're still dialing them. I will remember your advice in case they change their mind. In the meantime, I was hoping to get Wyse 50 working.
