Hi

I have a 1800 and an ASA 5505. I have a /29 external IP range.

What I am attempting to do is put one of the external IP addresses on the external interface of the ASA and on of the IP's on the internal interface on the 1800.

I have tried this and cannot get it to work. The 1800 is on the internet with an negotiated dialer1 interface and no nat is enabled.

I can access the internal interface of the 1800 from the internet but not the external interface of the ASA.

Can anyone point me in the direction of where I am going wrong.

Thanks

can you post configs?? also, how are you attempting to access these interface?? ICMP, http, etc??

I hate all Uppercase... I don't want my groups to seem angry at me all the time! =)

Sorted this thank you,

I now know the difference between negotiated interfaces and unnumbered!
