ASA 5510 Memory RAM slots

Hi everyone


I just need to know if there some command that tell me the number of memory slots of asa 5510 without turn of an see it inside the chassis
The issue is that I don't know if I must to buy 3 more memories of 256 MB or just one of 1 GB

No, there is no such command. The answer is, 5510 has one DIMM slot.

There are two hardware versions of the 5510 - one has 4 DIMM slots, the other has 1 (although it is the same motherboard it just doesn't have the DIMM slots soldered on).

thank you guys, doing some search in cisco documentation, in both chassis we can use one slot for 1GB memory so doesn't matter the number of slots we have.

Yes, and about £15 per DIMM on eBay....
