I have an ASA 5505 behind a D-Link WBR-2310 using DHCP between the two. It works, except the D-Link has a problem re-booting itself several times a day. When this happens, the Cisco loses its connection and does not get a new IP via DHCP. So I have to either unplug it or use ASDM to renew the DHCP lease.
I need either:
1. A way to have the Cisco auto renew the lease from the D-Link router.
2.Change to static IP and connect the ASA 5505 to my cable modem.
I tried option 2 but the static IP settings in the Cisco DO NOT have a place to enter the default gateway.
