AS9.01 on NW4 Tape Server Active Operations?

Arcserve 9.01 on Netware 4sp9

Is there any way to determine what the tape server is doing at any given time, and can it be stopped? I have 3 - 4 active operations running, and when trying to restore a file, it's taken over an hour to submit the job. ASTPSDAT.DB is over 600Mb and there are over 700 users connected to the server. I'm now getting low priority tread errors on the console.

Tape Server had a debug mode, I think it is enabled via a -d option.

astpsdat is the database that contains the list of all files and directories backed up so it is the largest.
