Hi all,
I've got a problem understanding AS5300 operation as a voice gateway. How many simultaneous voice calls it can handle?
We have a chassis, quad E1/PRI card, and AS53-VOXD VoIP card.
The manual says that AS5300 can have only 1 VoIP card installed which contauns 5 DSP module sockets (5 modules for E1 and 4 for T1 operation). As I understand it means maximum 30 possible semultaneous voice channels, i.e. full E1.
The questions arise:
1. What about another 3 E1s on my quad E1/PRI card? Will they be spare and unusable?
2. Also why the same manual says AS5300 can support 120 maximum voice sessions.
I think it's something wrong with my understanding, please help me to clarify the situation.
Sincerely,
Mike
