AS400 view (as a object) within SQL 2005?

Hi All,

Our application works on SQL 2005. It can read information only from one database (restriction of the application of the vendor), lets call this MYDATABASE. Is it possible to create a view within this database, to get real time information about some other tables within an AS400 environment?

I hope this will be possible.
A golden star for the person who can advice me to get this arranged...

Hmmmm, no reaction, lets say it on a differently way:

Is it possible whitin SQL 2005 to make objects (like views), which contains info from other database environments (i.e. Oracle, AS400?)
