I attached a IBM 6400 printer by the parallel port to a pc and create Client Access printer sessions to access it from the as400. The issue is when I try to print a spool file with some specific format like CPI, and Lines per page etc to print , for example, in my check form, teh Client Access printer session bypass this specification and try to fit the spool file different in my check forms!!! How I can tell the printer session to respect the spool file specifications settings or to get the setting from the printer hardware?? How I can acomplish this??
Im using os/400 V4R5 and Client Access Expres and IBM 6400 printer!
Thanks..

Are you doing a host print transform in your printer set up? If not try it. When you do a host print transform you have to select a printer. Try to find one that is the closest printer model to the printer you have -or- find out if your printer can emulate another printer and use that.

Another thing I found is when generating the report with the PRINTER statement you have to add rotate-0 to force the print out to be portrait. Otherwise it will print landscape and perhaps that what you want?! Good Luck.
