Hello, I have a very basic question, I am new to the as400,
How can you view the directories in the AS400??
for example when I first login I can type CD this changes the directory to WWW, but How can I view the files or folders that are in that directory??

Please Help!!

Thank you

Edgar V,,

Typically to me,,,,that is not the way it works,,, if you are working from a command line... you can type wrklib *all, and that will show you the libraries, (folders). You can page up and down thru the list of libraries,,, placing a 5, byt the library to see the files in the library. Hope this helps.

Thanks, right before I got your response I found out another way to see the directories.
go to option 4. Files, libraries, and folders
then take option 5. Integrated File System then
2. Object commands then option 2. Display object links it will look something like this
Object . . . . . . . . . . . . . '*'

Output . . . . . . . . . . . . . * *, *PRINT
Object type . . . . . . . . . . *ALL *ALL, *ALLDIR, *ALRTBL...
Detail . . . . . . . . . . . . . *PRV *PRV, *NAME, *BASIC...
Display option . . . . . . . . . *PRV *PRV, *USER, *ALL
In the Display option change the *PRV to *ALL

and you will see all the objects in that directory.

The way you showed me only gives you all the Libraries not the Directories.

I apreciate the help

Thank you
