I am getting same error,as other people with Exchange, when I try to backup ORACLE 8.1.56 DB with Arcs2000. I have AS_sp3 installed. I reinstalled Oracle agent 100 times, tied using TCP, nothing worked.
I see people having same trouble with exchange. Is there a relation? CA does not have any convincing answer.
Help!!!

Hiya,
Are you sure your defining the Oracle/client machine instead of the ARCserve server name when installing the oracle agent?

It's just a though...
