A similar issue was posted here quite sometime ago (thread478-74162 but it dosen't appear there was any resolve to the error. I am hoping that whoever is reading this may have experienced this and know how to correct this issue. here goes:

----------

We are using a Arcserve 2000 (SP4 + Hotfixes) on a Dell Poweredge server (SERVER_A) to do a network-based backup of a Lotus Notes 4.6.7 server (SERVER_B). We have installed Arcserve2000 (SP4) and the most recent Lotus Notes DB Agent on the Lotus Notes server.

During the setup of the LN DB Agent on "SERVER_B", we are prompted for 3 items:

- NOTES ID file (not sure if this should be the cert.id or the server.id)
- password
- location of NOTES.INI file

Whether or not I entered the correct ID file above, we are able to proceed with the install w/o issue. When setting up the backup job on SERVER_A, we are able to connect to see SERVER_B under Client Agents and see all the databases under the Lotus Notes Server tree. We select some databases under "Lotus Notes Server". The job ends up failing. We review the activity log and note the errors below:

W3073 Unable to logon as user (USER=,EC=INVALID PARAMETER)
E8604 Failed to start backup. (DBNAME=Active Projects, EC=DBagent Error - (1) \""Exceeded Maximum Memory\"".)

Does anyone know what we are doing wrong, and how this can be avoided? I suspect the NOTES ID setup issue above may have something to do with this. Also, we have noticed when defining the jobs that occasionally, when selecting the Lotus Notes Server tree, we are prompted for credentials. I am assuming these are Windows based credentials that are being requested. However, any credentials we enter are NOT accepted. All the accounts used (whether local admin or domain admin) are not accepted and I have confirmed that these accounts are also not locked.

Any advice to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
