AS2000 caroot password reset

Is there a way of resetting the caroot password in AS2000?

I'm trying to run a dbdefrag, and its prompting for a username and password - and I don't know it.
Although, after a bit of digging, it looks like the username is 'arcroot' - I still don't know the password though!

Everything I can find appears to be for BAB 11.X

Any help appreciated.

the caroot user appeared as of version 9. There is no such user in ARCseve 2000.
What you are looking for is the user for the VLDB database, you can log in using the following credentials

server: arcserve
user: admin
password : secret

ie.use the syntax :

dbdefrag -L arcserve;admin;secret asjob
dbdefrag -L arcserve;admin;secret asmedia
