Greetings! Need help in backing up an Oracle 9i database from a remote server. The table-space structure seems to be there but the data doesn't come across. The Oracle logs appear to be putting Oracle in backup mode but each alter table space line to commit the copy process is missing a semicolon (;) at the end of each line, which is done in a manual copy.
Arcserve 2000 produces the error for each table space: 11 E8602 Failed to read from database. (DBNAME=CWMLITE, EC=Backup Agent Error -- (69) "Read/Write error in named pipe/remote file operation.".)
Operating Particulars: Arcserve 2000 (SP4) & suggested patches; Client Agent for Oracle; Dell DLT7000 Autoloader Tape Drive running on a Dell 2300 Server, & I'm running out of patience.
Could this be an Advanced Storage Option issue, which if it is not part of AS2000, I don't have it.
By the way, Oracle 8i databases backup just fine.
Appreciate the help. Regards!
