With Gentran we took the document and sent it to two locations. One directory was our ERP import directory. The second picked up the file and repackaged it for the second destination.
This was due to the fact that we passed through the header information (ISA and GS). You may also want to look at setting up multiple recipients during mailbox routing.
Perhaps someone else has a more elegant solution. We continue to look for one.
Basically, we just wanted to modify the sender/receiver ID's so that the VAN routing would be successfull.
We also had the VAN handle CC's originally, this did involve renegotiating our contract to eliminate any extra charges.
