AS 6.6 for NW: not clearing archive bit after incremental job runs

We are running Netware 5.0 with Support Pack 6a. ArcServe 6.6 is being used for backup. The backups have been running fine for months. Fulls run on Friday and then incrementals the following M,T,W,TH. No rotation is used. I set the jobs before I leave for the day.
This week one job for our Burlington server started backing up much more data than usual. Looking at some files that have been on the server for a few days the archive needed attribute is not cleared. I have looked on Novells site and Computer Associates but have found nothing yet. Anyone seen this before?
