Hi there,

We are currently using MAPPING/400 to add designed layouts over our spoolfiles/400 (invoices, credit notes, order confirmations, ...). You have to upload the spool to the PC, open it in the designer, add whatever lines, squares, fonts, bold, underline, logos, etc... then downloading the all stuff back to the AS/400... (I simplified the process here ;-) )
But this MAPPING/400 is uncompatible with DIMM FLASH Memory, it means that no layout can be memorized and kept in the HP 4000 Series printers... and i pass over the load of other problems...
So, we are fairly unhappy with this product and we would like to find another one.
So I'm coming here to have some kind of alternative products proposal to do our spool mapping layouts...

Thanks for eventual answers.

Hi,

All my stuff is pre-printed and we're still using matrix printers, but I just found this in an e-mail I get.

I know nothing of it, but it does say that it's for iSeries AS/400's.

At any rate, check it out and see if this helps.

Another option is creating your own overlays. Check out a FAQ (faq513-2030) I just wrote up, it might not be there quite yet. But that contains the directions you would need. Mike Wills
