How do I transfer a PF from my AS/400 to a Unix box in ASCII format? Currently files arrive on the Unix box showing a null character, then the record delimiter for each record. This is causing processes on the unix machine to fail. I think sending the file in ASCII rather than EBCDIC will solve this problem, but can't find a way to get CPYTOIMPF or STRTCPFTP to send the file as ASCII.

Make sure you are using the ASCII keyword in FTP on the AS/400 side. That is supposed to be the default.
Plus, on the CPYTOIMPF command, be sure you are using the correct code page for the STMFCODPAG parameter.
