However it should be temporary while in the transition to completing the 11.5 upgrade.
Of course if the target system OS and applications are never updated then there is little need to update the client agent. However that is rarely the case, as a rule Windows systems are constantly being updated. For that reason it is not recommended to stay with a backup client agent that has not been updated in years and it is recommended to upgrade all the client agents to 11.5.
