Hi,

I need an article / news script.

What I need:
I need to have an good article/news script, which is not too advanced. Preferrably it uses an msaccess database or maybe XML (not sql). There is sql on the server and asp.net 2.0.

Are there any good ones (opensource / free / gpl), or do I have to make it my self?

I can control login with the system I'm already working on, but why reinvent the wheel if someone here has good experience with a "not too advanced" news/article script.

ps. if there is one that costs 10-20$ and is superb, that wont be an issue AFAIK. It's for an intranet picture-system and I want to be able to post news and articles.

Hope someone can tip me of some pre-made systems :)
If not, I guess I'll just have to make it my self..

do you mean a CMS (content managment system)? if so google 'content managment system' and you'll get plenty of options.
Drupal
WordPress
.Text (don't know if this is still active)
are just a few options.

if you want a cms in a specific language google
C# cms
php cms
asp.net cms
perl cms
ruby cms
etc...

btw ms access is the worst option for a RDBMS.
it requires lots of resources (Jet engine) and doesn't have transactions. plus it requires the hosting server has MS Office installed.

MySQL, MS SQL Server 2000/2005 are the top 2 dbs
PostgreSQL is also a good open source db.

Hi, no.. not really..
You see, the main content here is the photo-system which is already made. I only want an asp news/article script.

Most of the articles I will static link from a menu, but I want to be able to post news..

eg. like cutenews for php, only one that is for asp/asp.net.
Since I dont have access to the msSQL db, I prefer if it stores in msaccess or xml.

If there is no such script (which someone hsa experience with), I guess Ill have to make it myself.

I know its not really hard, as it only needs a couple of queries, some input forms and such, but I have other things I have to make too, so if I could simply implement some kindof simple article/news script, supporting categories, that would be a timesaver for me.
