Arserve 7 back up woes :(

Hi all :)

I recently came to be in charge of backing up our Exchange server (EXCHANGE 5.5, service pack 4) however the back-up job status always comes back incomplete. Based on the LOG messages this is the cause:

"E8602 Failed to read from database DBNAME=Individual Mailboxes\USERNAME\INBOX" (DELETED ITEMS, CALENDAR)

Before I do anything I wanted to know if anyone out there has a solution.

It is always possible there can be problem items in mailboxes. For instance an item is deleted either by the user or by a filter, virus scan or the likes. Also there can be problems with attachements.

thank for the reply. You could be right but how do I determine which email messages or attachements are causing the issue? Once identified how can I prevent this from happening again?
