Hi,

I have a couple of copper trunks which are getting long distance charges...but my ARS table is supposed to route all long distance calls to our LD Provider's T1 Trunk Group.

I think I've found the problem....some stations have a different COR than the default. How do I match the FRL in the users COR to the route pattern? Does the FRL have to match the route pattern, or is it a greater than / less than concept?

TIA,
Steve

In regards to the FRL, think of it as, the more money you have, the more you can buy. So, the higher the number, the more you can do. But I'm not sure that you have an FRL problem. Check to see the the line Time of Day is the same for both COR's being used. If not, it is possible that the second group of people are going out a different route, hence the copper trunks.

Look at the route that carrys your LD, do you have the copper lines as overflow for that trunk? Wisdom is Knowledge

Thanks All Phoneman2

check out the ars routing
disp ars ana xxx
then check the route pattern
you will find the rout choices if ist choice or is it set in an overflow
also list rout that will show where all trunk groups are in relation to routes

Sir Macca

Does it seem to be the same numbers that are routing over the copper trunks?

try list ars route then one of the phone numbers off your ld bill for the copper trunks ( ie. list ars route 16025556678). It will show you what dialed string matched what entry in the ars table, and also the route pattern chosen. That should help troubleshoot the issue.
