This is driving me crazy. I have modified the ARS table a number of ways. We have partition route tables and the call is following the correct path. However, if you look at the call setup, it is adding 150/1501 to the front of the number. I've corrected this before, but I can't seem to locate the areas I need to verify to confirm there are no added digits. checked trunk group already. checked ars table/s. Checked part-rte-tbls Verified prefix marks etc on ars table. Driving me crazy.

To explain setup:
station dials 3712575 with a rem cov p that dials out to LD number 1630813XXXX

this is a trace from the phone I am testing from. Identical when tracing X-ported station 3712575 with rem cov p.

All help is much appreciated!

No data in system to list is the message I get.

what about locations,,,, display locations,,, see what it show for location 5,, (npa)

the trace showing HNPA for that call,, and it should be FNPA.. so is it set somewhere else?

and,, is the trunk adding the digits?

check "display public-unknown-numbering x"

see if there are any entries inserting digits (prefix) there.

Actually .. ignore that .. pub unk is the number calling .. not the number being called. ... Sorry

The "change public numbering" only affects what is displayed on the incoming caller-ID of the called party. It does not insert digits to alter the number being dialed or have any affect on the ARS routing.

Do 'list ars rou 1630813XXXX#' and see where the switch thinks it should be routed.

630 converted to mandatory 10 digit dialing a few months ago. When did the problem start?

Kevin

It was brought to my attention yesterday. No telling when. This LSP was installed and everything worked when I left in mid-Nov. One thing that gets me is the trace is showing HNPA instead of FNPA. Would this be doing anything?

What is the NPA of TG 51? You have it administered as 248. Should it be 501?

Kevin

Its in MI - 248. That's what is driving me crazy. 501 is Arkansas - and we have a loc there.

What's the IP Address of the phone making the call? Is it mapped in IP-NETWORK-MAP and using a different location?

Also, are you sure you ran the command:

display ars digit-conversion location 5 1

I haven't seen it say No data in system to list when there is nothing there... It should look something like this:

ARS DIGIT CONVERSION TABLE
Location: 5 Percent Full: 4

What does the ARS ANA ALL look like for 1630813? I think the call routing is defaulting to the ARS ANA ALL table because the forwarding extension (371-2527)is not associated with a physical port. Therefore, it will look to the ARS ANA ALL table for routing instructions. That may be where the HNPA is coming from. Just a thought, but I'm interested in your answer.

Check the location (display location) and see what NPA is assigned to that site.
