Can anyone tell me how to enter two phone numbers in the ARS table to allow users to dial the numbers. I do not understand what "route pattern" and "call type" such as :

what does:
"HNPA", " SVC1", "FNPA" stand for ?
I am trying to add
(304) 262-5258 & (304)262-5290 for users to have the capability of calling these two numbers

HELP!

HNPA Home Numbering Plan Area. Your Local area code. SVC1 Service code like 311 611 911. FNPA Foreign Number plan area. Area codes that are not local to you Is 304 your local area code? Do you need to outpluse the 1. 7 digit or 10 digit or 11 digit.

1a2 to ip I seen it all

my are code is : 504, so how would I enter the 10 digit phone number to allow access to all users on that switch?
I appreciate it very much for your help.

Unless those numbers are being blocked a normal ARS table would allow them already. The ARS table is used to specify the route and a special route is only needed for a specific number if you want to force it out a specific trunk and/or manipulate the digits like delete the 304 from the front.

What happens when they call the number now and what do you want it to do?

Do a "list ars route-chosen 3042625258" to see what route it would use. Add "loc #" after the number if you are using locations.

I enterd 3042625258 10min 10max (under route pattern, what would I enter? they things like p1, p8, p9) then under call type since this number has an area code 304 which is in Virginia and I am located in Louisiana, would it be FNPA?

I am just lost I guess.

First, if this is a long distance call then the user has to enter 1304... and your ars entry has to be 1304....

The type doesn't change much. Mine are all NATL for every entry in 28 sites across the US.

Please do a "list ars ana" and show us the part around 13... like this

1281 11 11 303 natl
1284 11 11 104 natl
13 11 11 103 natl
1303 11 11 305 natl
1314 11 11 313 natl
1317 11 11 315 natl
1340 11 11 104 natl
1345 11 11 104 natl
14 11 11 103 natl
1404 11 11 304 natl
1412 11 11 316 natl

Also do a list route and see if the is one named long distance or LD, the name is made up by whoever set the system up.
