My arrow keys do not work. That is, I can move the mouse cursor with an arrow key if I push the key repeatedly; but if I just hold the arrow key down, the system does not move the cursor. I can fix this by reinstalling Windows ME and it stays fixed for the rest of the day; but the next day it (the problem) again reappears. So, it's one of the programs running during the night that is causing the problem; and I have 3 programs running each night and they are:
1)- Scandisk, 2)- Defrag, and 3)- Backup.
Of course, I could just eliminate the 3 programs but I wonder if anyone has run into this type problem and how did you fix it; short of reinstalling Windows ME.
I am using a PowerSpec 300Mhz machine with 56k memory
(yes, I need more) and more than 1gig free hard drive space.
