I wanted to look at the data on my DirecTV eSATA drive. I was told that it was a Linux setup. I downloaded Ubuntu Linux and set up a dual boot system on my Dell PC running Vista. When I boot up I get what I am calling a MS-DOS or Command Language page that shows Vista highlighted and Linux as an alternate choice. You get 10 seconds using the arrow keys to select Linux. My arrow keys won't work!!
Suggestions??
TYVM!!

I suspect it is a usb keyboard & the dirvers for usb are not loaded until the os is in running

most motherboards have an option in the bios to enable
usb keyboard support on mine it is called "legacy devise support" & is in the usb device menu.

Of course if i am correct you may need a ps2 keyboard to access the bios & change this

You "guys" hit right on it. I was trying to use a "wireless" keyboard. I plugged in a USB keyboard and it work fine with no problems. I had a similiar problem and got the USB keyboard about three years ago. My 71 year old brain just isn't what it used to be!
Many Many Thanks!!
