I've started to get this error and it's ticking me off just a bit. I'd appreciate any help.

Application is in VB5 and calls Crystal using the OCX, error 20533 is generated when .PrintReport is called.

.LastErrorString is "Unable to open database" -- but it *is* there and readable..... [sig]
Mike
michael.j.lacey@ntlworld.com
<a href= Cargill's Corporate Web Site
Making mistakes, so you don't have to. <grin>[/sig]

Which version of Crystal are you using?

This can make the difference.

Also, if 'one has compiled the reports in a different verion' that can make it even worse.

I have been able to do VB5 with Crystal 4.x and again with Crystal 8 without the above problems. (I am still in the experimentation stage with Crystal8. Seagate does say that it will cause none of the above problems. However, I have not proven this to my satisfaction as yet.)

I am actually using VB front ends to access Foxpro databases and run Crystal Reports from the whole mess.
