Dear All,

I used to automatically populate the win98 pc's static arp table to cut down on the arp broadcasts, however, because of security in win2k this doesn't seem to be possible unless your logged in as administrator ?

Does anyone know a way around this ?

If this computer is in a Win2k networked environment:

Sounds like the computer (or the user using the computer) is a member of a GPO that does not permit this type of thing. This would explain why only an administrator could do this. Disconnect the computer from the LAN, log in locally and try again. If it works, then we know that a GPO is preventing it.
