I have a 3640 with a T1 Wic card and a Baynetworks ARN router and I cant get the PPP to work. I set the MTU to 1500 on the Cisco. and on the Baynetworks I set the MTU to 1506 and the MRU to 1450 and still nothing. The Line is up but the Line Protocol is DOWN. any ideas
Thanks

The ploblem could be that the cofiguration for LCP did not converge. Choose in the Site Manager menu Protocols->PPP->Interfaces. Mark the circuit to the CISCO router and click on "lines". At the bottom of the menu that appears then enable the RFC Compliance. Futher its important (if you use a leased line) to disable BOFL (NN) and keep alives (CISCO) on both interfaces. Both vendors use various procedures for this function. Accept the defaults for MRU/MTU and take a look at the NN log (use the log -fwt command )then. In the traces you will be able to see if this configuration works (and the reason if not with values for the needed MRU/MTU). Let me know if it works !!!

Cheers
