MM3.1 with exchange - using ARIA tui when one deletes a voicemail via the handset - it is then removed from Outlook ( does not even show up in deleted items )

yet when you check voicemail again

option 1 - review

option 1 voice

if you log back in it will still be offered as deleted

press 4 to play
press 5 for envelope info
press 6 to copy
press * to skip
press # to skip

how long will the message still be offered as deleted

does anything have to be done on the MAS to purge deleted messages

cheers: )

checked the MAS and " enable confirmation before deleting messages " is default value cleared

per docs :
when cleared , deleted messages can still be reviewed during the same session but this is not the case as I have disconnected from the system several times and still hear the old messages

cheers: )

checked off " enable confirmation before deleting messages " _ it may be a case where the end users are still lgging into voicemail even though they have no new messages ( don't ask )

my thoughts are :

ARIA TUI

If you have no MWI light / email attachment - why are logging into your voicemail - perhaps they are tying to get to saved messages and are confusd with the offer of a deleted message

message order being played -

new _ there are none
deleted _ plays deleted ( # to skip )
saved _ plays saved

just not sure how long they will be offered deleted messages before the system will purge

You need to set the delete on exit in the subscriber options. If it is unchecked then they will never be removed

Thank you Mr. Means - I did find it after a while as mentioned in subscriber Options

its just that nobody has ever asked for this in the past and its never been an issue behind exchange before - just thought " confirmed deleting of message " in VMSC was all I needed as I tick this off anyway

again thank you as always !!!

Cheers !
