Our Argent Branch keeps randomly crashing with all the lights for the expansion ports, ISDN and WAN flashing as well as all the lights on the hub remaining on. This happens with no expansion modules attached or attached, the PRI ISDN line connected or disconected....I have tried all sorts of combinations all with the same result, after a while it just stops working.

It has been working fine for the last few years. We also have an argent office attached to the same LAN and BT Wideband and that is still functioning fine. No config changes have been made....in fact it is hardly ever used!

Any suggestions?

Is it on the network? If so, take it off and see what happens.

Also, what s/w version is on it? 2.2(1070) is the latest...if you need it, chuck me your email address. 2.2(1070) did fix a lot of problems....!

I have had everything unplugged except the power and still experienced the same problem. I will check the software version and reply back.

Well, I connected to it with the alchemy monitor and it says:
"Monitor Started...blah blah...ARGENT BRANCH 2.2(65)"

Is it really 1000+ revions behind? Like I said it has been sitting there redundant for a few years....

Remember that this is not an ip office but the older network alchemy.

2.2(1070) was the latest, and most stable build for the Alchemy series. Avaya don't move up builds in order!

Could you point me in the direction of where I can download the software/firmware and any tools and instructions I need to flash it please? I've had a quick look on their their website but it seems pretty crap and I cannot find what I want. If you can use it my email address is david.hume[AT]loopcoms.com
