Area text tool -> reshape ?

If I had typed into a shape with "area text tool", can I modify the shape (the container) and still get the text re-flow according to the newly edited shape ?

I mean the text area modified via "path finder (shape model)" tool instead of manually edited per anchor (the dot).

...pathfinder functions can work with area type, but a bit unsure what you are trying to achieve here, can you post a screen grab to assist the query?
