Is there a methode using a translation or transformation pattern to where when a user dials example 5551234 the CUCM can insert the area code before it send it to the carrier?

Currently the user will dial 8 to go out the PRI so: 85551234 so in the end i would like the carrier to receive 0005551234.

I am using CUCM 7.1.5

Using Translation Patterns you can enter the number they are using in the first line (Translation Pattern) Then fill in the rest appropriately (most of ours are set to default or Cisco Call Manager). On the Called Party Transform Mask entry, you enter what you want them to dial.

Here are some wildcards that can be used per the Cisco Docs, though I personnally have never used any of them.

X (upper or lower case)-Matches a single digit.
!-Matches any number of digits.
#-Used as a single digit for exact match.
