Are you able to use a " filter by " statement in SQL?

I am looking for a way to filter by a certain criteria. Does SQL have a command like it does in access?

Yes, but you should probably try to get a general understanding of how the SQL language works, so that you have a context in which to use that information. Take an afternoon to read SQL for Dummies, and you'll be a pro. Well, almost. ;)
