Are there any EIS/SER Dialer Guru's out there???

Hi, I am needing help with the silent monitoring featuer of an old EIS dialer. Is there anyone out there that might be able to point me is a direction??? I know I am connecting to the dial, indicated by the station light coming on but when I enter the monitor code I get dead air not dialtone and when I key in the station number to monitor I get dead air. Any ideas?

Are you talking about the Executone IDS switch?
Do you have key programmed for silent monitor? (833)
In station programming make sure block silent monitor is set to "n".
