Howdy,
I have a Pix 506 with using 192.168.1.30 -> 192.168.255 for DHCP and 192.168.1.220 -> 225 for the VPN pool. Unfortunately one of my internal xp systems was assigned 220, which then conflicted with my vpn connections, making it pretty much useless. I reassigned the VPN pool to 221->225 and everything worked fine. As a side note, I also had a NIC fail at the beginning of the process, but replaced it soon afterward.
Which brings me to my question: Are the DHCP pool and VPN Pool mutually exclusive; that is, should the Pix figure out that the DHCP server shouldn't assign IP's reserved for the VPN, or do I have to manually configure each so that they don't share any IPs?
