ARE MY RENDER TIMES OK?

I just rendered this pic,

render time was 4:11:10 but i'm sure it was longer- anyway, does this seem about normal? and are there other(better, faster?) ways to render?

You've got a lot of reflections and highlights - that's what takes the time. The manual has some suggestions for reducing render time by altering the view.

Since when, if I want to save it as a photoshop pic at 300dpi, I save it as a smaller picture, then make it bigger in photoshop.
 
Hello. If you want to cut render time by a lot, USE NETWORK RENDER!! Sorry for the unprofessional reply, it's too late for me to think straight... %-)
