Are fibre protocols 100 BaseFX and multimode the same?

Hello all,

I need to convert V11 data(rs422) to 100 BaseFX (fibre), I have found a converter which converts V11 to multimode fibre. Are these protocols the same thing?

100baseFX certainly run on multimode fiber, but without seeing a web URL link to your converter, I doubt it adds the ethernet protocol to non ethernet data.

I tried to remain child-like, all I acheived was childish.

100baseFX is a protocol, multimode is a hardware spec for the fiber.
