My first question would be how many Call Classifier cards/ports (TN744 or similar) are needed for say 100 agents using a Predictive Dialler software?
I found this pretty good thread, which answers part of my question.

My next question is are Call Classifier cards needed if answer machine detection is not required? What system settings do I need to disable answer machine detection?

Thank you very much for any help.

I won't claim to be an expert, but I have installed many predictive dialers on many different phone systems. As for the Definity, you do need to have some kind of tone detection. You will connect the predictive dialer via line side T-1 (DS1FD station type) or through an analog station card. These cards (TN744) are for tone detection (DTMF), not for anwering machine detection. The answering machine detection is done from the DSP on the dialer system. I managed a system that had 120 agents and 72 unattended dialing lines, and I had 6 TN744 boards in the switch and I was close to needing another one. As you listed in the the thread above, if you do a "list measurements tone-summary yesterday", it will tell you how many tone receivers you are using in a peak hour. I would install the dialer equipment and keep and eye on the measurements and make sure that you keep ahead of the dialer on tone detector boards.
