I have an HP Photosmart 2610. I want to throw it out the window. I learned about HP's ink cartridge scam 2 years after buying it. They tell you that the ink cartridge is empty when it is not. The cartridge serial numbers are kept in memory, so that you cannot just refill a cartridge and put it back in. They lose money on printers and make absurd margins on ink refills. That is why they do this BS.
I have found a couple tricks around this, but I dont want the hassle. Are there any printers out there that dont do this? Also, does this apply to laser printers.
I appreciate any help in recommending a printer without this sort of BS associated with this.
